These hard working individuals are the recipients of Mystic Educations & Safety’s Leadership Award.
Each year Mystic Education & Safety recognizes the youth and their important role in the world with supporting physical, and mental health for the future of us all. These young leaders will be the next generation to inspire others to promote a positive healthy lifestyle in our communities and around the world.
MES awards $500.00 to these graduates for their Post Secondary Education. Supporting these leaders is supporting our future. Well done everyone!

Grad Class of 2021
Isaac is the recipient of the First annual Mystic Education & Safety Leadership Bursary.
Isaac has committed many volunteer hours within the community. Always supports an upbeat, positive, outgoing and healthy lifestyle in with his peers, family and friends. He’s trained in Aquatic programs and First Aid programs with Mystic Education & Safety. With goals of nursing programs post secondary education.
Mystic Education & Safety is honored to award its 2021 Leadership award to Isaac Mastronianni. Congratulations!

Grad Class of 2022
Piper has been a huge advocate for her community health and wellness. With a personal passion for volunteering with such organizations as Salvation Army’s food drives and Prince Rupert clean ups keeping our ecosystem clean. Not to mention her involvement with the Prince Rupert Rapids Swim Club coaching young swimmers to be the best they can be.
At the age of 12 Piper knew she wanted to become a lifeguard not only to help those who visited the local pool, but also to achieve the skills, knowledge, fitness and judgement to keep those around her safe when enjoying activities in on and around the water.
Piper learned her First Aid and Lifeguarding skills though Mystic Education & Safety to become an accomplished Lifeguard/Swim instructor at the Earl Mah Aquatic Center. Her passion has always been in on and around the water.
Piper seeks to use the bursary to achieve her next big goal A Bachelors of Science degree with a Major in Chemistry or Biology at the University of Victoria.

Grad Class of 2023
Alli Foster's passion for swimming began at just three months old, and she has never looked back. She excelled in swimming lessons and spent eight years as a dedicated member of a Swim Club. Throughout her time in the pool, Alli's skills grew alongside her deepening appreciation for aquatics, community support, teamwork, and leadership.
By the time of her graduation, Alli had earned her Bronze Cross award, Standard First Aid certification, National Lifeguard certification, and Swim Instructor qualifications through Mystic Education & Safety.
Her extensive volunteer work within the community has had a profound impact, helping individuals lead more fulfilling and enjoyable lives. Alli has organized and led special events for all ages at the Earl Mah Aquatic Center and spearheaded fundraisers to secure essential hearing equipment for hard-of-hearing patients at the local hospital. She also collaborated with Mayor Lee Brain and MLA Jennifer Rice to advocate for improved Deaf/GOH policies, further demonstrating her dedication to community service.
Alli’s journey has fostered a strong sense of confidence in her goals. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Honors Cell and Developmental Biology at UBC, with aspirations of engaging in medical research in the future.
Mystic Education & Safety is proud to recognize Alli with the 2023 Leadership Award in acknowledgment of her outstanding achievements and contributions.

Grad Class of 2024
Heather is pursuing a career as a Dental Hygienist, driven by her passion for healthcare and dedication to preventative care. She aims to begin her professional journey with the Canadian Armed Forces before transitioning to community dental work.
Her leadership development began early, as she served as the primary English-speaking family member, emphasizing the importance of effective communication and growth in challenging situations.
Heather holds a black belt in Taekwondo, which instilled values such as respect, patience, and discipline. These principles carried over into her lifeguarding career, where she earned certifications such as Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, First Aid, Airway Management, Oxygen Delivery, and the National Lifeguard Pool Award, many of which were achieved through MES. Her dedication was further demonstrated through her progression from a casual position to a regular role at the Earl Mah Aquatic Center, where she continued to develop a strong connection with community members of all ages.

Mystic Education & Safety Bursary
To receive the Mystic Education & Safety Bursary of $500.00 the candidates must meet and indicate in their application the following criteria:
Be a graduate of the Northern Regional School Districts, Prince Rupert, Terrace, Kitimat, Smithers, Houston, Haida Gwaii.
Pursuing education that leads to leadership in Canada. Recreation, health and wellness, emergency response and medical.
The applicant must prove enrollment in a post-secondary institution. (Proof of post secondary school, enrolment receipts and or tuitions).
Has volunteered 20 hours or more towards community health and wellness, recreation and sport.
The applicant must have participated in training offered by Mystic Education & Safety or within Kendal Shepard’s training platforms.
Write a short essay and outline the following:
Outline your goals towards achieving their post secondary schooling.
Explain how their volunteer work contributed to community Health and wellness?
Share your experience with MES’ Training. How have the skills and knowledge learned from Mystic Education & Safety contributed positively within your life, to your success? And/or how will you use them to achieve your goals?
How will their schooling assist and support society in a positive manner.
